UK venture studio · build & invest

We're the technical co-founder you can actually have.

AlurDigital partners with non-technical founders as a technical co-founder — taking equity in exchange for reduced cash fees, and building the product alongside you for as long as it takes to find its market.

The fourth option

The three problems we replace

Most non-technical founders end up paying for one of three bad options. We built the studio to be the fourth.

Agencies

Sell hours, not outcomes. Ship a brief on a Friday; what happens to it on Monday isn't their problem. You pay the full bill while still shouldering the product risk yourself.

Freelancers

One person, no continuity, no team behind them when something hard lands. Honest people, but the structural shape is wrong for a business you'll be running for years.

Hunting a co-founder

Eighteen months on Slack groups, dating-app introductions, and "let's grab a coffee" that goes nowhere. The longer it takes, the more of your runway evaporates before a single line of code is written.

Three honest tiers

How a partnership with us is shaped

We pick the tier that matches where you actually are, not where you wish you were. Tier names are honest about the trade-off you're making.

Build

For founders ready to ship.

Lowest cash fee, highest equity. We carry the technical risk, you carry the customer-development risk, we both win when the venture does. Best for founders with strong domain conviction and limited cash.

Partner

For founders with some cash and serious commitment.

A middle path. Moderate cash, moderate equity. You bring real money to the table; we bring real engineering, product and go-to-market support. The most common shape for our engagements.

Studio

For founders who want a service relationship.

Highest cash fee, lowest equity. Closest to a traditional agency shape, but you keep the same dedicated team, the same product mindset, and the same partner-level attention as the equity tiers.

From apply to terms

What you'll be doing the day after you apply

Applying takes about twenty minutes if you've thought about your idea for more than an hour. Within five working days a partner has read every word and replied personally.

  1. Apply. Twelve thoughtful questions about you, the idea, the market and what you need from us.
  2. Discovery. A first conversation. We're listening, you're listening; nobody is selling.
  3. Deep evaluation. A short, paid engagement where we both find out if this is real. Either side can walk away cleanly.
  4. Terms. A tier, an equity split and a build plan you've both negotiated and agreed.

How we build

Engineering practice, not a pile of code to rewrite later

The studio shape only works if the software underneath it is built to be run for years. This is how we work — the same discipline on every engagement, whichever tier you land on.

Typed, tested, deployable

Clean-architecture .NET — typed end-to-end, real auth, real audit trails, real deployment pipelines. Tests assert behaviour, not coverage theatre, so the codebase stays safe to change.

Ship weekly, demo weekly

Working software every week from week one. A live board of in-flight work means you always see exactly what's being built and why — no black-box brief that reappears months later.

One stack, one team, end-to-end

The same engineering, product and go-to-market people from discovery to exit. No account-manager rotation, no handoffs that lose the context the next decision depends on.

Built to be owned, not rented

Everything we ship is yours — source, infrastructure, the lot. When you hire your first technical lead, they inherit a system a senior engineer would be glad to take over.

Have an idea you want to talk through?

Applying is the front door. If you'd rather have a conversation first — press, investor, partner agency, just curious — the contact form goes straight to a partner.
